Resident Services Coordinator
Kathleen Nackley, AHA Resident Services Coordinator is available for residents needing assistance with the following:
- Assisting with applications for income or food assistance (DTA/SNAP) benefits;
- Connecting residents with community programs such as local food pantries or community food resources to help residents address any food instability issues.
- Assisting with applications for health care insurance and benefits;
- Helping enroll residents in MassHealth, or EOEA programs for older adults or people with disabilities (e.g., Home Care, Senior Care Options, One Care, etc.).
- Contacting community agencies to help link residents to more intensive support programs (e.g., PACE, Adult Day Health, etc.).
- Assisting with applying for the RIDE, re-certifications for leases, transportation and escort services;
- Working with local providers to address unmet needs such as clothing, furniture, durable medical equipment, etc.
- Assisting with services difficult to access such as mental illness, dental insurance, and audiology assistance;
- Mediating conflicts among residents or between residents and agencies and negotiating satisfactory resolutions;
- Assisting with mail that is difficult for those with English as a second language to understand; and
- Connecting residents to employment, civic, or volunteer opportunities.
